Antoine Semenyo reacts to winning Premier League player of the month award

Antoine Semenyo has spoken about his plans for the rest of the season after winning the Premier League player of the month award for Febraury.

What a start Antoine Semenyo has made at Manchester City! The winger was already well regarded before he joined, but he already looks like a player who is taking his game to another level.

This has been reflected by the fact Semenyo was nominated for the Premier League player of the month award, after a superb February with Man City.

It seems the new signing has impressed the masses, because it has today been announced that Semenyo has won the prestigious prize.

Man City will be delighted by this announcement, as Semenyo joins Erling Haaland as the club’s second player to win the award this season.

Antoine Semenyo reacts to his latest Premier League triumph

Semenyo is over the moon to be recognised by the Premier League for his excellent performances.

The Ghanian has described this moment as something he will never forget, while revealing his aspirations at Man City moving forwards.

He told Man City: “This is a brilliant moment for me. To win the Premier League Player of the Month award so soon after joining City is something I’ll never forget.”

“It’s been such an amazing start to life at this club. I am learning so much every day and I honestly feel I am already a better player.

“I have been made to feel welcome from day one, which means I have been able to stay focused on the pitch and do my best.”

Touching on the rest of the season, Semenyo added: “My focus now is on continuing to improve and helping City to achieve the best possible results. We have so much to play for and I am really excited about this final period of the season.”

Man City have a lot of work to do

Semenyo is spot on about Man City having a lot to play for, but this will not be the case if they keep struggling to get results.

The Sky Blues are close to being dumped out of the Champions League and recently fell seven points behind Arsenal in the Premier League.

Therefore it is essential that Semenyo continues to grow into the team and deliver top class displays, because City need a bit of magic to bring success to their season.
