Two City players could feature in the UEFA Nations League on Monday evening, with Rayan Cherki and Gianluigi Donnarumma both scheduled for 7.45pm kick-offs.

Both players were involved when their countries met on Friday, with Donnarumma completing the full 90 minutes of a 1-1 draw in Paris and Cherki playing 76 minutes.

Cherki and Donnarumma back in Nations League action

Cherki has already made an impact during the current international break, providing an assist as France beat Belgium 1-0 in Brussels before facing Donnarumma and Italy on Friday.

The Man City midfielder was involved in France’s goal against Italy, taking the short free-kick before Michael Olise put the hosts ahead. Alessandro Bastoni later equalised for the visitors.

Donnarumma had previously helped Italy record their first victory of the Nations League campaign when Roberto Mancini’s side beat Turkey 4-1 in Bursa.

Monday brings an immediate return fixture between those countries, with Italy hosting Turkey at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

France and Italy are playing their fourth Nations League fixtures of the campaign, with two further group matches to come during the November international break.

For Enzo Maresca, the priority will be getting Cherki and Donnarumma back to Manchester without any problems ahead of City’s return to Premier League action against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Several of their City teammates still have international fixtures to come on Tuesday, but Cherki and Donnarumma are the two senior players to watch on Monday night.
