Manchester City have revealed the three players who are up for the club’s player of the month award after an impressive run of victories in February.
Last month saw Manchester City get off to a rocky start, as they took a 2-0 lead over Tottenham Hotspur only to end up drawing the match.
However, City followed this up with four Premier League victories, a Carabao Cup second leg triumph against Newcastle and an FA Cup win over Salford City.
It was also a month which saw Arsenal drop points on two occasions in the league, so Pep Guardiola will view it as a positive period for his team overall.
Manchester City name February player of the month nominees
Manchester City have announced their player of the month nominees for February, with Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marc Guehi and Nico O’Reilly up for the award.

Donnarumma kept two clean sheets, but it was his performances against Liverpool and Newcastle which were really impressive. The Italian made vital saves near the end of both matches which ensured both scorelines remained 2-1 to Man City.
Guehi’s nomination is also very much deserved, with the centre-back taking to City like a duck to water. His defensive attributes are already clear to see and he even found the net himself during the FA Cup victory over Salford.
Finally, it is no surprise to see O’Riley nominated after his goalscoring displays against Fulham and Newcastle. The 20-year-old has moved from left-back to midfield and this change has benefitted both the player and his team.
Man City must deliver again in March
February was a good month for Manchester City, but there will be a lot more pressure on Guardiola’s men in the coming weeks.
City have a League Cup final to prepare for, but before that there is a Champions League knockout tie against Real Madrid, an FA Cup clash with Newcastle and two vital Premier League games.
Therefore, Man City’s three player of the month nominees and the rest of the squad must be ready for whatever comes their way, because this is going to be a testing month.
