- Premier League fixtures announced for 2026/27
- Man City learn key dates for the coming season
- Their opening game should be quite the spectacle
The Premier League have revealed Manchester City’s schedule for the 2026/27 season, and there should be plenty of entertainment provided from the very first match.
Despite having a good campaign overall, Man City were unable to clinch the Premier League title last season.
Arsenal led the way for the most part, but the Citizens did take a brief lead towards the end after defeating the Gunners, followed by a win which relegated Burnley.
However, City dropped points in a few fixtures after this point, allowing Mikel Arteta’s men to claim a rare league title.
But soon enough there will be a chance for Man City to go again, and they now know what order they will be facing each opponent next season.
Man City will kick things off against Bournemouth
The Premier League have revealed that Man City will begin their campaign on Sunday, August 23 at the Etihad Stadium.
Bournemouth are the visitors that day, in a match where City will be looking to take vengeance for what happened last month.
After all, it was the Cherries who held them to a 1-1 draw, which saw Arsenal crowned as the Premier League champions.

Both clubs will be under new management
Something interesting about City’s Premier League opener is that both teams will have a new manager in their respective dugout.
Marco Rose has already been appointed as Andoni Iraola’s replacement, signing a three-year deal with the club.
And the Sky Blues will have their new head coach in position too, which is widely expected to be Enzo Maresca.
Key dates for Man City
The biggest fixtures for Man City are the two Manchester derby clashes, as well as each time they face Arsenal.
City fans will not have to wait long for the former, as the Red Devils will host them at Old Trafford in September, while the Etihad match is in March.
It will not be until the end of November that Man City play Arsenal for the first time, and the second of these fixtures is on the final weekend of January.
