Manchester City will be signing a variety of players this summer, but there is one area which may need filling more than any other.

The 2025/26 season has been full of positives for Man City, and their successes are a reflection of how well this squad has been assembled.

Rayan Cherki has been particularly impressive out of the signings last summer, while Antoine Semenyo is already proving his worth after a mid-season arrival.

And now, the Citizens are looking at who else to bring to the club, in order to ensure their success carries over to the next campaign.

Man City are considering signing a winger

According to Fabrizio Romano, Man City are ‘exploring the possibility’ of signing a new winger this summer.

Should Savinho leave the club, it is even more likely that plans will be made to make an addition in this area.

“Manchester City, keep an eye on Manchester City,” Romano said, “Because if Savinho goes to Tottenham, Manchester City could go for a new winger.

“My understanding is that Manchester City are exploring the possibility of going for a new winger.”

Savinho has been linked with Tottenham

At the beginning of March, the consensus was that Man City were not looking to sell Savinho this summer.

Despite this, Spurs have expressed interest in signing Savinho, having failed to secure his services last year.

With Tottenham plagued by injuries for a second successive season, they could use some new additions, and the wing is an especially problematic area.

The move would certainly make sense for the Brazilian, as he made only seven Premier League starts this season.

City might look to retain one fallen winger

While Savinho’s future might end up being away from Man City, Jack Grealish could be offered another chance.

The 30-year-old looked like he would never play for City again when he joined Everton on a season-long loan, but Enzo Maresca could give him the chance to revive his Sky Blues career.

Still, even if this does happen, Grealish predominantly plays on the left flank, while Savinho has mostly been operating on the right.

Therefore, Man City are likely to pursue a backup option to Semenyo if Savinho decides to make the move to North London.
