Man City are working on a new contract for Xavier Parker
The most prominent of these young starlets is Xavier Parker, who is being linked with a move to Liverpool this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Man City are ‘actively working’ to secure a new deal for the midfielder, who is only 16 years old.

Craig Burley confused by Tottenham’s Savinho interest
According to Craig Burley, Savinho has not matched the levels he showed at Girona since joining Man City.
He has taken aim at the 22 year old’s lack of consistency, and questioned his ability to play in the Premier League.
“He was [so good at Girona],” Burley told ESPN. “This is the worry for me in terms of Spurs. He’s a talented player, there’s no doubt about it, but he’s yet to prove in England that he’s not lightweight – he can’t be pushed off the ball, that he’s not been bullied.
“Yes he’s got great feet and he’s got scale, but he’s yet to prove that in England. He did it in Spain, that’s fine. But he certainly didn’t do it regularly at Man City.
“It’s not the easiest team to get into, but when he had his opportunities, it was very inconsistent. So if you’re asking me ‘is it good business for Spurs?’, I’ve no idea!
“Because I think in the Premier League thus far, Savinho’s a bit of an unknown, in terms of getting the consistency level of what we saw at Girona,” he continued.
“So whether it’s a [Roberto] De Zerbi call or not, I don’t know, but it certainly wasn’t working for him at Man City.”
Josko Gvardiol is set to remain at Man City
Despite the ongoing rumours, there have been indications that Gvardiol will remain at the Citizens, according to The Athletic.
The defender is settled at Man City and in the city of Manchester, meaning he may well put pen to paper on a new deal.
Currently, Gvardiol only has two years remaining on his deal. However, he would likely have multiple years added if an extension is agreed.
Gianluigi Donnarumma could be in trouble at Man City
According to The Athletic journalist Sam Lee, Maresca likes a shot-stopper who can play with the ball at his feet, and who rarely kicks long balls.
Trafford is very much aligned with this preference, but Donnarumma often opts to hoof the ball up the pitch.
Therefore, despite the rumours regarding the England international, it could be Donnarumma whose position at the Citizens comes under threat.
Claudio Echeverri is attracting interest
It was recently reported that Man City want to loan out Echeverri for a fourth time, at some point before the new season begins.
This has been reiterated by Joao Boysen. The journalist has confirmed he will not remain at Girona, while there is no chance of him staying at the Citizens.
🚨#Flamengo, #Bahia, #RiverPlate e #Monza estão interessados em Cláudio Echeverri, que pertence ao #ManchesterCity e estava no #Girona.

Additionally, River Plate are experiencing some struggles, making a return to Argentina unlikely, but not impossible
Therefore, Echeverri could join either River Plate, or one of Flamengo, Bahia or Monza, who are all monitoring the attacker’s situation.
