Divine Mukasa has agreed a new deal with Manchester City, so let’s take a closer look at the young prodigy who has been on fire this past season.
Man City have been hard at work agreeing contract renewals, which includes the successful completion of Mukasa’s new deal.
The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a contract extension which will keep him at the Citizens for the next four years.
And having made his first-team debut in the Carabao Cup back in September, Mukasa will be looking for an opportunity to play more for the senior side next season.
Divine Mukasa joined Man City in 2023
Mukasa played in West Ham’s academy, and Man City knew there was something special in the teenage talent.
He was signed three years ago, quickly making an impression as he started the FA Youth Cup final in his first season.
Then during the 2024/25 campaign, Mukasa registered an incredible 42 goal contributions in 41 matches, helping his team win the under-18s Premier League Group North.
Another incredible season for Mukasa
More recently, Mukasa kicked things off in 2025/26 by making his first-team debut for Man City, during a Carabao Cup fixture against Huddersfield Town.
He even got an assist in that match, setting up Phil Foden as the visitors managed to obtain a 2-0 victory.
After a few months competing in Premier League 2, Mukasa made the move to Leicester City, where he has been playing Championship football.
The England youth international recorded two goals and three assists during his time at the Foxes, appearing in 15 matches.
Mukasa’s thoughts on re-signing with Man City
Having signed a new deal, Mukasa is delighted to see what the future holds for him at the domestic double winners.
“I think it’s just since coming here the amount of development I’ve made,” he told Man City’s official website.
“Obviously working with the best coaches, the best players, you improve so much so it’s an environment that I look to stay in. And I’ve really enjoyed it so it’s a good platform for me.
“It’s a great feeling and something I’ve been working towards [signing a new contract],” he added.
“You focus on the football and stuff like that but things like this are also good and what come with it. So, it’s really good.”
Mukasa’s deal will last until 2030, meaning he has four years to prove himself to the club hierarchy before another decision is made on his future.
