- Savinho exit rumours intensify
- Morgan Rogers a top target
- Josko Gvardiol uncertainty
It has been another full day of transfer gossip, so let’s take a look at the biggest Manchester City talking points ahead of the transfer window’s long-awaited opening.
Defence
Josko Gvardiol reportedly wants to leave Man City, and is keen to join Real Madrid when the summer transfer window opens.
However, City are keen for the versatile defender to remain at the club, remaining hopeful he will sign a new contract.
Interestingly, Gvardiol recently made comments which suggested he was open to staying at the Citizens, so his future could still lie at the Etihad Stadium.
Additionally, Man City are still interested in Givairo Reid. The Feyenoord right-back is also receiving admiration from Bayern Munich.
Midfield
Seemingly out of nowhere, Man City are considering a bid for Federico Valverde. The Uruguayan could be a cheaper alternative to the likes of Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali.
Additionally, City’s interest in Morgan Rogers has continued, but Chelsea and Arsenal are interested too.
The ex-City youth player would be open to joining his former club, but he would likely cost around £100m.
Attack
Savinho is moving closer to his Man City exit. The Brazilian wants to remain in the Premier League, with Tottenham strong favourites to secure his services.
There has also been speculation regarding another of the club’s wingers, as well as the man who won the Premier League golden boot.
Jeremy Doku and Erling Haaland were both name dropped by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez ahead of Sunday’s club election.
However, this was only to confirm that neither player was going to be the £130m superstar Los Blancos are looking to sign this summer.
