All the Man City transfer news from the past 24 hours

  • Summer transfer window opens on June 15
  • Man City have already launched their first bid
  • They could be about to receive one as well

Manchester City appear to be moving closer to signing Elliot Anderson, while Savinho looks to be on the move.

Here is the latest news on those potential transfers, along with all the other rumours to have been circulating today.

Defence

Man City are actively searching for a new right-back, with plans to bring in a young starlet who can play as Matheus Nunes’ understudy. This means Pedro Porro is unlikely to join, as he fails to match this profile.

Additionally, Rico Lewis is considering his future, after a season where he has seen limited first-team opportunities.

Midfield

Man City have tabled a bid for Elliot Anderson, but it is well short of Nottingham Forest’s £100m+ asking price.

Despite this setback, Anderson wants to join City and is eager for a deal to be completed before England’s World Cup campaign begins on the 17th.

Should the Citizens miss out on the 23-year-old, Sandro Tonali is viewed as another option, but there is competition from Arsenal.

This situation is entirely separate to whether City are able to hold onto Rodri, who is currently expected to return to the club after the World Cup.

Attack

According to Real Madrid’s presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme, Erling Haaland wants to move to the Spanish outfit.

However, this claim has been rubbished by Haaland’s agent, and Man City are considering taking legal action.

On the wing, however, City are soon expected to receive an offer for Savinho, who has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur.
