When can Man City expect a Savinho bid from Tottenham?

Share
  • Savinho has been linked with a Man City exit
  • Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the winger
  • No direct approach has been made as of yet

Savinho is expected to leave Manchester City this summer, but the club most likely to sign him are yet to launch a bid.

After making 14 starts during the 2025/26 season, it is no wonder Savinho has been linked with a move away from Man City.

Tottenham are interested in signing the Brazilian, having already had offers rejected during last year’s summer transfer window.

And with the player himself keen on a deal, there is a good chance he will exit the Citizens at some point over the next few months.

Tottenham could make an offer for Savinho soon

According to Sky Sports, Spurs are seriously considering having another crack at signing Savinho from City.

No direct approach has been made at this point in time, but movement from the North London club is expected.

In fact, Tottenham could table a bid in a matter of days, meaning Savinho could potentially be ready to leave Man City once the summer transfer window opens.

Savinho is going to leave Man City

Whether Spurs make an offer for Savinho tomorrow or midway through August, he is not going to be a Man City player next season.

Pep Guardiola could have looked to get the 22-year-old playing more regularly during City’s most recent campaign, but this did not happen.

It is quite clear now that Savinho has no future at the Etihad Stadium, so expect an exit within the next month.

City will need to sign a new winger

Rayan Cherki and Phil Foden are both capable of playing on the wing, but City’s only natural options are Jeremy Doku and Antoine Semenyo.

Both these players are going to continue starting, so that is worth considering as Man City search for Savinho’s replacement.

But regardless of this, someone needs to be brought in, otherwise there will be another unwanted gap in the squad.

matchday.
