  • There was a lot of international action on Tuesday
  • 11 Manchester City players were involved
  • One player in particular stood out for his performance

Manchester City had 11 players representing their countries on Tuesday and one player clearly stood out from the rest.

Let’s take a look at how each player got on, using their Fotmob match ratings as an indicator.

Every Man City player’s Fotmob rating

Erling Haaland – 6.2

Haaland started for Norway against Switzerland, despite rumours of an injury concern. The striker played 63 minutes before being removed from the match, which ended in a 0-0 draw.

Rayan Ait-Nouri – 7.4

There was no assist for Ait-Nouri this time around, but he did keep another clean sheet. Algeria secured a 0-0 draw with Uruguay and the left wing-back won eight of his 13 ground duels.

Marc Guehi – 6.9

Guehi on the other hand failed to win a single ground duel, as England were defeated by Japan. It was the defender’s first start since Man City’s 1-1 draw against West Ham.

Nico O’Reilly – 6.3

O’Reilly was unable to repeat his Wembley heroics when Japan came to visit and he was subbed off around the hour-mark.

Phil Foden – 6.1

Foden played a false nine role due to Harry Kane’s absence, but he struggled to do anything noteworthy during his 59 minutes on the pitch.

Nathan Ake – 6.8

The Netherlands would have been expected to defeat Ecuador, but Ake and his teammates did well in the end. They were a goal and a man down after Denzel Dumfries was shown a red card, but managed to record a 1-1 draw.

Gianluigi Donnarumma – 8.2

Despite Italy’s defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Donnarumma made 10 saves and prevented 0.77 goals. Unfortunately, he was less impressive in the penalty shootout, as the visiting team exited World Cup qualifying.

Rodri – 6.9

Spain brought on Rodri ahead of the second half against Egypt. He was unable to inspire a victory, with the match ending 0-0.

Omar Marmoush 6.1

Getting a draw in Spain was a decent result for the Egyptians, but Marmoush did very little. In fact, he failed to land a shot on target during the match.

Matheus Nunes – 6.7

Portugal kept a clean sheet and defeated the US 2-0. Nunes entered the field of play for the second half and helped his team see out the victory.

Jeremy Doku – 6.5

Doku’s passing accuracy was faultless against Mexico, after he was brought on 63 minutes into the game. However, his dribbling was not up to usual standards.

Man City’s next match is on Saturday

There are no more international fixtures left to fulfil involving Manchester City players, which means all eyes are on the weekend.

The Citizens will take on Liverpool in their FA Cup quarter-final and kick off is on Saturday at 12:45pm BST.
