Manchester City To Open 2026/27 Premier League Season Against AFC Bournemouth

Manchester City will begin their 2026/27 Premier League season at home to AFC Bournemouth on Sunday 23 August, with the Etihad Stadium opener scheduled for 14:00 and live UK coverage set for Sky Sports.

The fixture was confirmed by the club after the Premier League calendar was released, giving City a home start as they prepare for their 30th Premier League campaign and another title push built around Erling Haaland and the rest of the first-team core.

Derby date adds early edge to City schedule

City’s first away match is currently listed as Crystal Palace on Saturday 29 August, before a home game against newly promoted Coventry City on Saturday 5 September.

The first Manchester derby arrives quickly, with City due to visit Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday 12 September. The return league derby at the Etihad is scheduled for Saturday 20 March, although City note that fixtures beyond the opening weekend remain subject to broadcast selections and possible movement.

The champions Arsenal are listed away on Saturday 28 November and at home on Saturday 30 January, while Liverpool away is pencilled in for Saturday 10 October before the Etihad return on Saturday 8 May.

City are due to finish the league campaign away to Sunderland on Sunday 30 May, according to Manchester City’s official fixture announcement.
