Everton vs Man City: Ally McCoist and Darren Fletcher both agree on which team will win

  • TNT Sports commentators predict Everton vs Man City
  • No disagreements on winning team
  • McCoist expecting more goals

Ally McCoist and Darren Fletcher have made their predictions as Manchester City do battle in Merseyside.

Manchester City have had some time to relax, but now the weight of people’s expectations is about to get intense.

Anything less than a victory tonight would see the Premier League title placed back into Arsenal’s hands.

Indeed, the Gunners thrashed Fulham at the weekend, boosting their goal difference as well as their points tally.

Therefore, it is essential that City continue a run of superb form in order to rediscover their status as the strongest candidate to win the league.

Man City predicted to beat Everton

According to the TNT Sports commentary team, beating Everton is not going to be a problem for Man City.

Darren Fletcher has gone for a 2-0 victory, the same scoreline we predicted in our pre-match preview piece.

Ally McCoist is in agreement that City will come out on top, but he has gone for a 3-1 win for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Paul Merson is less confident in Man City

There is a general consensus between most pundits that Man City are going to beat the Toffees on Monday night.

Nevertheless, Paul Merson has predicted a draw between the two teams, which would cause Arsenal to become the Premier League favourites.

Of course, Merson cannot be relied on to be impartial, considering his history representing the North London club.

This is not the first time he has recently predicted City to drop points and it will surely not be the last this season.

City have a great record against Everton

The Premier League can be unpredictable at times, but City’s clashes with Everton usually end the same way.

Guardiola’s team are unbeaten in 17 successive fixtures against the Evertonians, and only two of those matches have ended in draws.

Add current form to the picture, and it definitely feels like this is a game Man City should be winning.
