- Wayne Rooney makes revelation about Man City
- Does not believe Citizens are under as much pressure as Arsenal
- Makes Premier League title prediction
Five-time Premier League winner Wayne Rooney has been discussing whose dressing room he would rather be in at this stage of the season.
With the Premier League title race heading down to the wire, Manchester City and Arsenal are neck-and-neck in the table.
The Gunners restored their three-point advantage over Pep Guardiola’s side with a 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday. However, City have a game in hand.
Arsenal could stretch that gap to six points if they beat Fulham on Saturday, before the Sky Blues travel to Everton next Monday.
Wayne Rooney would rather be in Man City’s dressing room
Former Man United and Everton striker Rooney has been discussing the situation, and says it’s City who will be feeling more relaxed at this stage.
Speaking to BBC Sport, he explained he would sooner be in the Carabao Cup winners‘ dressing room than Arsenal’s.
"I think all the pressure is on Arsenal."

Rooney said: “[I’d rather be in] City’s 100%. You’d rather be in City’s one because I think Arsenal win it [the title], but it’s a challenge for City to go and win it again.
“Whereas I think all the pressure is on Arsenal.”
Rooney still thinks Arsenal will win the title
Despite suggesting City will be the more comfortable environment, Rooney still said he expects Arsenal to win the title at the end of the season.
He continued: “I think next weekend if Arsenal win, by the time City play on Monday night, six points are this stage of the season, now that’s big.
“And then City have got Everton away. You know, if City don’t win that game, that puts added pressure onto City.
“You can say the same thing if Arsenal don’t win and then City go and win on Monday night, knowing that they’ve got a game in hand.”
Man City have been here before
As Rooney says, Arsenal are still in a strong position to win the title, and can extend their lead at the top once again before City play.
However, Guardiola’s side have frequently chased down massive points tallies at this stage of the season, and have already caught Arsenal once.
With all the pressure on the league leaders, having a set target to aim for as the side chasing may well be a more comfortable position to be in.
This year’s title race is likely to go down to the final days, but at this stage, City will undoubtedly be feeling more relaxed than the Gunners.
