  • The forward’s short spell there could be over

Joel Ndala could be about to return to Manchester City after landing himself in a spot of bother for his behaviour.

Manchester City have already sent Joel Ndala on loan four times. Last summer, he joined Hull City, in what was supposed to be a season-long move.

However, the 19-year-old was recalled due to a lack of game time, after making 17 Championship appearances.

Since January, Ndala has been on loan again, this time at Sheffield Wednesday. Yet just eight matches into this spell, the teenager might already be about to head back to the Etihad.

Joel Ndala could be sent back to Man City

According to The Sheffield Star, Ndala could depart The Owls before the end of the season, as a result of disciplinary action.

Ndala turned up late for the team’s travel arrangements to Stoke City last Friday and he had already been handed a warning after being guilty of a similar offence in February.

“He [Ndala] was in the squad at Stoke but had some problems with his hamstring,” Sheffield Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen said after Monday’s draw with Leicester City.

“He didn’t train yesterday. There were players that were late [for the trip to Stoke], but we deal with this internally as we normally do when a player is late. There are always the same rules.”

Man City and Wednesday have a good relationship and both sides would need to come to an agreement if it is decided the player should return to his parent club.

Ndala has struggled away from Man City

It seems Ndala has not exactly set the world alight this season, In 27 overall appearances, he has registered two goals, but no assists.

Therefore, the fact he is not showing up on time is adding even more negativity to a less than ideal situation.

There is little chance of Ndala playing for Man City’s first team next season, but such antics may limit his opportunities elsewhere.
