- Man City won the first English trophy of the season
- More people now believe the club can win the Premier League
- Man City’s players believe too
Arsenal have a firm lead in the Premier League table, but belief in Manchester City has increased after the Carabao Cup final.
There have been a number of twists and turns in the Premier League this season, with the gap between Arsenal and Manchester City constantly changing.
Not so long ago, the Citizens had moved within two points of their title rivals, but that has since increased to nine.
However, Man City have a game in hand, while the Gunners must travel to the Eithad Stadium next month in a clash which would change the picture even more.
Manchester City are more likely to win the Premier League after their Carabao Cup win
Of course, the fact Man City beat Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final is another factor which potentially hands Pep Guardiola’s team an advantage.
This has been reflected by a Prime Video Sport poll, where 44 per cent of 25,000 voters have predicted that City will catch up with Arsenal in the Premier League table.

Mikel Arteta’s team only have seven matches left, meaning they must realistically drop points in three of them in order for Man City to have a chance.
Man City’s players believe a Premier League triumph is possible
Those who voted on the poll are not the only ones starting to believe in the Sky Blues. In fact, their own players seem pretty confident that a comeback is possible.
Nico O’Reilly has said Man City can smell blood in the Premier League title race, especially since Arsenal still have to play an away fixture against the Carabao Cup winners.
Also, Antoine Semenyo has spoken about Man City’s confidence from their victory at Wembley, so the belief is very much strong on the blue side of Manchester.
