Plans for the Etihad Campus are taking shape and Manchester City have now announced plans for another on-site facility.
Manchester City are undergoing a busy period on the pitch and off it is no different, with the club’s development of the Etihad Campus in progress.
Last month, Man City released images of the proposed Medlock Hotel, which will be situated near the club’s stadium.
More recently, Medlock Square was announced, which will be an entertainment venue directly behind the North Stand, enhancing the matchday experience of the club’s supporters.

The facility will have the capacity to welcome up to 600 guests per show and will host the hugely popular, global hit Mamma Mia! The Party.
This latest proposal is part of the new Medlock Square development. It is said to build on the club’s long-held ambition to develop East Manchester into a thriving year-round entertainment destination for visitors from Manchester, the UK and around the world to visit.
Man City must ensure football remains the priority
While City are enjoying turning the area around the Etihad Stadium into a landmark destination, there is always the risk of going overboard.
Ask any Tottenham Hotspur supporter about when they moved to their new stadium and they will say an element of the fan culture has been lost.
City have already caused concerns after moving supporters from their seats to make way for hospitality areas in the North Stand, so these developments may not go down well with everyone.
Ultimately, Man City are still a football club and that must never be forgotten, regardless of the Etihad Campus becominmg a tourist attraction.
