Manchester City have been drawn against Basel in the Last 16 of the Champions League.
Having won their group, City could have been drawn against Basel, Bayern Munich, Porto, Juventus, Real Madrid or Sevilla and it was the Swiss side who were pulled out of the bowl.
After a weekend where Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte admitted that their side will not be able to close the gap on City in order to compete for the Premier League crown, City’s thoughts will be on a famous League and Champions League double, but in order to think that far ahead, they’ll need to defeat Basel.
