Bruno Zuculini has signed for Rayo Vallecano on loan for the season the Spanish club have confirmed, becoming the latest in a string of players to leave Manchester City on temporary deals this summer. It also represents another loan move for Zuculini, who has spent much of his time at City out on loan in Spain, Greece and England.
Zuculini was highly-rated when he arrived in Manchester from Racing Club two years ago, with some predicting he could go on and be one of the best Argentinian midfielders of the modern era. After moving to the Premier League, Zuculini was immediately loaned out to Valencia, where he struggled to get into the team and left after just one appearance. Spells at Cordoba, Middlesbrough and AEK Athens have followed, but he has suffered the same issues getting into the team.

Relegated Rayo Vallecano could provide him with an opportunity to get his career back on track, and he is the fifth signing of the summer for Jose Ramon Sandoval, after Santi Comesana and Ernesto Galan on frees, and Pablo Iniguez and Paulo Gazzaniga on loan. The Madrid club will hope that the defensive midfielder in Zuculini can help propel them back to the Primera Division.
City have sent a number of their promising youth players out on loan this summer, particularly to Holland, where a partnership has been fostered between The Blues and Eerste Division side NAC Breda. Brandon Barker and David Faupala and Brandon Barker are two of several to take advantage of this, and have been followed by the likes of Enes Unal, who moved to Twente on a temporary deal. Zuculini is the first to be sent to Madrid club Vallecano.
