PSG set their sights on out of contract Manchester City star

Paris Saint-Germain are keen on signing a Manchester City player whose contract is set to expire once the summer transfer window opens.

Manchester City are likely to be busy this summer making new signings, but a few possible departures are also on the cards.

Bernardo Silva could be one of the players heading towards an exit, as the Man City captain is set to leave Man City.

Silva has received interest from clubs across Europe, as well as teams competing in the Saudi Pro League and MLS.

PSG want to sign Bernardo Silva

Last season’s Champions League winners have emerged as another club who are interested in signing Silva when he becomes a free agent this summer.

The Portuguese star has not been in talks with Man City about a new contract and he intends to walk away from the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season, according to Ekrem Konur.

However, there is competition to secure Silva’s signature, with Barcelona and Galatasaray also entering the race for the midfield maestro.

Man City must work to identify Silva’s replacement

Silva has appeared in every single one of Man City’s Premier League matches this season and he has played in 38 games across all competitions.

This shows just how important a player he is to Pep Guardiola and so the club must search for an adequate replacement who can keep the team’s midfield ticking.

It is likely City will look for a younger option with a high ceiling, but who is already good enough to step straight into the first-team.
