According to the Mirror, West Ham are still interested in a signing Wilfried Bony on a four-month loan deal until January before he jets off to the Chinese Super League.
The Hammers are eager to bring in some temporary cover for Andre Ayew who will be out for between 10 weeks and four months with a thigh tear as the club wait and see whether they opt for surgery on the injury or not.
One of the names to have cropped up in discussions is the 27-year-old Bony who the Hammers came close to signing in the summer of 2013 before his £12m move to Swansea from Vitesse Arnhem, but they opted to sign Andy Carroll from Liverpool.

West Ham have asked to take the Ivorian striker on loan to cover Ayew, with Bony not featuring in Pep Guardiola’s first-team plans.
Bony has several offers he is considering, including one from China but has expressed an interest in remaining in English football and moving to East London.
Since signing for City in January 2015 for £24m, Bony has only found the net on 10 occasions in the 18 months since and is eager for a fresh start.
Despite Simone Zaza’s imminent arrival from Juventus, Bilic still wants one more striker and could sign Bony on loan until January.
