It’s come to the time of year where City are preparing for the Champions League draw, except this season it’s a little different, as The Blues are entering at the play-off stage instead of in the groups.
This is a result of last season’s poor league showing, which saw us earn a place in this year’s edition of the Champions League on goal difference alone, having qualified for the groups automatically every year since the 2010-11 season.
The play-offs will be the first chance to see Pep Guardiola’s City in action on a continental stage, although it is likely to tell us little about what we can expect from them this season.
Now the third qualifying round for the competition is complete, and the seeded teams (including us) have been chosen, Read Man City want to have a look at the five teams we could be drawn against on Friday, when the draw takes place.
