Manchester City may have concerns about the future of Tosin Adarabioyo, with the young defender seeking assurances over his future at the Etihad before committing to a new contract, according to the Daily Mail. Tosin has made his mark on the first-team in the pre-season trips to Germany and China, but only has 12 months left on his City contract.
The 18-year-old has been with City since 2003, and has progressed through the ranks being labelled as one of the brightest talents in the academy for several years, earning call-ups to several youth England sides in the process. He made his senior debut in February in the FA Cup at Chelsea, putting in a strong performance despite the 5-1 defeat.

Tosin appeared on stage with Pep Guardiola at the new manager’s unveiling last month, and has so far played a big role in pre-season, being the only player so far to play every minute of the friendlies against Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. However, his chances are likely to be limited when the season starts, and John Stones is expected to sign from Everton in the coming days, reportedly leaving Adarabioyo with some doubts over his future.
His professional City deal expires in 2017, and Celtic, Tottenham and Everton are allegedly sniffing around in case they can persuade him to switch colours at some point in the next year. The Blues have tried in vain over the last 12 months to persuade him to agree a new contract, and it may fall to Pep Guardiola to convince the centre-half to stay, due to Tosin wanting to speak to the Catalan about his chances of making the first-team.
