City are willing to sanction the sale of Rico Lewis this summer if the right offer arrives, with Nottingham Forest and Everton among several Premier League clubs showing interest, according to TEAMtalk.
Lewis fell behind Matheus Nunes in Pep Guardiola’s team last season, making just three Premier League starts and averaging under 50 minutes per appearance across all competitions. The 21-year-old academy graduate signed a new long-term contract last year, but limited game time has left him weighing up his options, with his place in England’s squad also under threat.
Newcastle and Sunderland are watching the situation closely, while Fulham, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Brighton have also been credited with interest. City are understood to value Lewis at around £35m, having already turned down a package worth roughly £26m from Forest.
Everton’s interest stems from their long-standing need at right-back, a position Moyes has been trying to strengthen all summer. Lewis is comfortable across the back line and in midfield, and would arrive with both an England pedigree and City’s academy grounding behind him.
City remain admirers of Lewis and aren’t pushing him out the door, but sources suggest the club won’t stand in his way if he pushes for an exit in search of regular football.
