- Bernardo Silva is leaving Man City
- He has been linked with Barcelona
- Real Madrid are now contenders too
Bernardo Silva has been expected to swap Manchester City for Barcelona, but another Spanish giant have entered the race.
After nine terrific years, Bernardo Silva decided to call an end to his time at Man City, in search of a new adventure.
It has been reported that he wants a move to Barcelona, following in the footsteps of Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan.
However, another club have emerged as a potential candidate to seal a deal for the Manchester City captain.
Real Madrid want to sign Bernardo Silva
It feels like there is barely a Man City player not to have been linked with Real Madrid, and they are now also keen on Silva, according to Fabrizio Romano.

New manager Jose Mourinho views signing the 31-year-old as a priority, and ‘advanced talks’ are already underway.
Los Blancos are confident of beating Barcelona and Atletico Madrid to his signature, with work being made to get the deal done.
Silva has bad memories of the Bernabeu
When Silva most recently played in Madrid, he was part of a Man City team to suffer a heavy 3-0 defeat.
Back at the Etihad, things got even worse as the midfielder. He denied a goalscoring opportunity with a handball offence, resulting in a straight red card.
As a result, City never had much of a chance to make a comeback, losing the Champions League tie 5-1 on aggregate.
One tie cannot define a player like Silva
While these may not have been Silva’s greatest nights, he has had a really impressive campaign with City.
Showcasing a more aggressive side to his game, Silva has been a key contributor at the back, while helping the Citizens to dictate proceedings.
Mourinho has first-hand experience of watching the star perform in the Premier League, so he knows exactly how good a player they would be getting.
