Man City might lose out on Marco Palestra
According to Il Giorno, Palestra is being followed by Man City, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid. However, the report claims the defender is currently oriented toward choosing Inter.
The Italian outlet adds that another meeting is expected between Inter and Atalanta as the two clubs look to move closer to an agreement.
Inter’s first offer was reportedly worth around £34.5m plus bonuses, while Atalanta’s initial asking price stood at around £43m.
A deal could now be closed at approximately £39m. With Inter now moving quickly, City might lose out on one of their right-back targets for the summer.
Juventus show interest in Brahim Diaz amid Man City interest
According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are interested in signing Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid. The Italian outlet claims Luciano Spalletti wants a player capable of adding creativity in the final third.
The Italian side are said to have made direct contact with the player’s father-agent in an attempt to explore a deal.
However, the move is not expected to be simple. The winger reportedly wants to stay at Madrid and work under Jose Mourinho next season.
The report further claims competition from Man City, who seemingly want to give their academy graduate another chance.
FC Köln interested in making Simpson-Pusey move permanent
According to GEISSBLOG, Köln are now negotiating with Man City over a permanent deal for Simpson-Pusey.
The German outlet claims the Bundesliga side want to keep the centre-back after his loan spell, with the defender himself open to staying in Cologne.
Köln reportedly have a purchase option for the defender, believed to be worth around £7m plus bonuses. However, the club are hoping to agree a lower fee with City.
A further loan is reportedly not straightforward at this stage because Simpson-Pusey’s City contract only runs until 2027.
