John Stones is linked with Aston Villa
According to talkSPORT, Aston Villa have entered the race to sign Stones, and the England international, who turns 32 today, may well fancy a move there.
The Birmingham-based side finished in the top four of the Premier League table, and would have secured a spot in next season’s Champions League anyway.
This is because Villa defeated Freiburg last week to win the Europa League final, lifting their first trophy since 1982.
And Stones will likely have good feelings towards the club, considering their players joined a guard of honour for him when he was subbed off during his final Man City appearance.
Bernardo Silva wanted Man City to sign Joao Neves
Speaking to DAZN Portugal, Silva has talked about how he and Ruben Dias wanted City to place a bid for Joao Neves, who was linked with PSG after Euro 2024.
Unfortunately, Man City had ‘other priorities’ and decided not to pursue the midfielder, who played for Benfica at the time.

Silva said: “Ruben Dias and I have a funny story. Around the time of the Euros in Germany, with Joao Neves, we knew he was close to signing for PSG. So Ruben and I started calling City, telling them not to lose him.
“At the time, City had other priorities, because in midfield we had a lot of players. But we kept on at the club not to lose him.
“They ended up having other priorities back then and decided not to go ahead, but it is a funny story. I think these days they are perhaps a little regretful.”
He added: “We already knew Joao and had also trained with him with the national team. We could already see what he was, because he is a player who does not disappoint.”
Man City are considering signing a winger
According to Fabrizio Romano, Man City are ‘exploring the possibility’ of signing a new winger this summer.
Should Savinho leave the club, it is even more likely that plans will be made to make an addition in this area.
“Manchester City, keep an eye on Manchester City,” Romano said, “Because if Savinho goes to Tottenham, Manchester City could go for a new winger.
“My understanding is that Manchester City are exploring the possibility of going for a new wing

Enzo Maresca to Man City is a done deal
According to Nicolo Schira, Maresca’s move to Man City is a ‘done deal’, and it will not be long until an acknowledgement comes from the club.
