- Senior Manchester City players set to depart this summer
- Juventus interested in both
- Could attempt double signing
Juventus could attempt to sign two Manchester City players who look set to bid the club farewell once the summer transfer window opens.
Manchester City will be busy signing new players this summer, but there will be some departures to arrange too.
Some members of City’s squad are on contracts which are set to expire in the coming months, including Bernardo Silva and John Stones.
Already, Bernardo Silva has confirmed his exit from the club, while Man City are expected to soon be announcing the departure of Stones after a decade at the Etihad Stadium.
Juventus want to sign Bernardo Silva
It is no secret that Juventus have been monitoring Silva’s progress and according to talkSPORT, the Italian club are advancing in talks to sign him.
Benfica are another club showing interest, as they eye a summer reunion with their homegrown hero.
Also, Al-Ittihad have made an enquiry about the Man City captain, who will become a free agent at the end of the season.
John Stones has also been linked with Juventus
Interestingly, John Stones is another player to have been linked with Juventus, as reported by Nicolo Schira.
The centre-back’s agents have proposed a move to Serie A, while there are also two Premier League clubs in the race.
News emerged earlier in the month that Everton were planning a swoop for Stones, and this could be a favourable move for the 31-year-old considering his history with the club.
Man City remain strong without Silva and Stones
Silva will be a big loss for Man City and filling that void will not be easy. However, Elliot Anderson looks set to join in the summer and he is one of the best midfielders in the country.
Then in defence, Stones has only started four Premier League matches this season anyway, and Pep Guardiola is not short on alternative options.
Vitor Reis will return from his loan move at Girona, Marc Guehi joined last summer and Abdukodir Khusanov has turned into an absolute beast of a defender.
Therefore, City should have enough cover to be able to cope without their senior stars, as a new era dawns on the blue side of Manchester.
