  • Manchester City will take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup
  • AFTV’s Robbie Lyle has chosen his combined XI including players from both teams
  • He has made a decision which has gone down badly with Arsenal supporters.

Infamous Arsenal Fan TV host Robbie has been lambasted by his club’s supporters for including a Manchester City defender in a combined XI rather than William Saliba.

With the Carabao Cup final taking place later today, lots of fans and pundits have had a go at putting together a lineup which combines players from the two teams participating.

Manchester City would probably have dominated these teams over the past few years, but Arsenal’s squad has been gradually improving under Mikel Arteta.

Unsurprisingly, AFTV host Robbie Lyle has included seven Gunners in his combined side. However, he has interestingly left out William Saliba in favour of a Manchester City centre-back.

Robbie Lyle includes Marc Guehi in his combined XI

Arsenal supporters will have vivid memories about Marc Guehi, as he scored in stoppage time to deny them a 90-minute victory in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

Whether it is down to that moment, or due to his defensive excellence, Guehi has been included in AFTV combined XI.

Erling Haaland has also earned a place in the team, while Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo have made the cut too.

Guehi will want to be back at his best for Man City

Most Man City fans will agree that securing Guehi for a fee of around £20m was an absolute steal, but he struggled to cope with Federico Valverde at the Bernabeu.

Despite playing well against West Ham last weekend, the England international found himself on the bench when Real Madrid visited the Etihad Stadium. However, he was brought on to replace Ruben Dias at half-time.

This is another huge fixture and Guehi needs to ensure he plays his best football, provided he starts the game.

After Abdukodir Khasanov’s special performance on Tuesday, there is bound to be more competition for the central defensive positions. Therefore, Guehi has to be delivering in the most important matches.
