Predicted XI: Man City v Barcelona

Pep Guardiola ended his worse winless streak in his managerial career with an emphatic 4-0 win at The Hawthorns this weekend and now looks again at facing his former club.

City have faced Spanish giants Barcelona five times before in the Champions League without a single victory but our Catalan boss have given confidence ahead of tomorrow night’s Group C clash.

Guardiola won a massive 14 major trophies during his decorated time at the Camp Nou and despite admitting he thinks that they are best team in the world – he refused the idea that City can’t win any game.

I have never thought that we can’t win a game and I never will. Even when we lost 4-0. It’s difficult and we know we need to play almost perfectly to win – and if not, we will congratulate them and move on.

Guardiola will have more wacky yet brilliant plans to counter-act Luis Enrique’s heavy hitters and while guessing them is near impossible, here’s my predicted XI…

matchday.
