After missing the last nine matches, Fabian Delph is looking to return to the Manchester City side ahead of the West Brom game. In a recent interview with the official Manchester City club website, Delph discussed his number of troublesome injuries.
It was a bit of a tricky injury, this one. It was an Achilles problem but I’m nearly there now and should start training with the team in the next few days and I’m really excited to be getting back out on the pitch again and I’m hoping to be available for the next game. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster for us this season but all we can try and do is pick up three points in the next game against Bournemouth and if we can do that and keep doing that in the games that remain, anything is possible.

Delph goes on to discuss how Manchester City still have a chance to win the league, believing that until it’s mathematically impossible, there still is a chance.
We’ve seen a few crazy things happen this season and I think there are more twists and turns to come so hopefully we can get back up there because we still believe. All we can do is try to improve on our recent performances and take each game as it comes. Apart from my injuries, it’s been a fantastic first year at City. The boys have welcomed me, the fans have been great with me and hopefully I can get fully fit, put all the injuries behind me and get going again.
With the upcoming Champions League match, Fabian Delph couldn’t be arriving back from injury at a better time. He comments:
They are great team who have many world class players, but so have we. We’ll have a game plan and if we execute that to perfection, I can’t see why we can’t come out victorious over the two legs.
The 26-year-old concludes the interview by discussing his chances of joining the England squad for this summer’s European Championships.
I really enjoy representing my country and it’s been the highlight of my career so far. The niggling injuries have held me back by hopefully I can get a few games under my belt before the Euros and try and impress the manager and if I don’t manage to do that, I’ll only have myself to blame. My overall aim is to finish the season strongly on a personal level and for my club and if that’s enough to get me into the England squad for the championships as well, then that would be perfect…

Ever since joining City from Aston Villa, the English International has made a total of 12 Premier League appearances, accumulating two goals. In addition, Delph has made two Champions Leauge appearances, not scoring in either match.
With injuries plaguing Manchester City right now, the comeback of Fabian Delph can help heal the wounds. If the 26-year-old English International is to return soon, Manchester City fans could see the midfielder make a Champions League appearance against PSG.
