Recent City debutant Bersant Celina is keen to further his footballing development by gaining experience on loan.
Making his debut against Norwich in the FA Cup earlier this month, Celina is eager to taste more first team action but realistic about where that action may be.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, he said:
I feel ready but obviously we’re at one of the biggest clubs in the world,” he said. “It’s always hard to get in the team but if I get the chance then I am ready.
Even if I’m ready here I can’t just go in and take the place of one of the best players in the world. If a loan comes in, I think it’s a good idea.
EDS coach Simon Davies supports the idea of a loan deal for the Kosovan-born youngster, but the pair and the club are carefully weighing up potential suitors. Celtic were rumoured to be close to agreeing a deal for the player, but it would appear that they are far from the only club in the conversation.
Celina continued:
I want to go on loan to play first team games, but it’s important to find the right club.
I’m not stressing it. I wouldn’t mind staying here until the summer and maybe then going on loan. We’ll see what happens. I can’t really say anything but there are a lot of clubs.
