City return to Champions League action on Wednesday night when Enzo Maresca’s side travel to Germany to face RB Leipzig.
City make the trip looking for a response after successive Premier League defeats against Aston Villa and Brighton, with attention now turning back to a European campaign in which they have won two of their opening three games.

Maresca travels to Germany with a largely healthy squad. Antoine Semenyo remains the only confirmed absentee as he continues his recovery from the knee injury suffered against Ipswich Town last month, with the winger still expected to be sidelined for several weeks.
That leaves the City boss with decisions to make following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat against Brighton. Rayan Cherki and Phil Foden are among those pushing for more involvement, while Erling Haaland could return to the starting XI after a frustrating afternoon at the Etihad.
Leipzig provide another difficult test as City attempt to halt their recent run of defeats. Former City defender Martin Demichelis is now in charge of the Bundesliga side, who have injury concerns of their own ahead of Wednesday’s meeting.
The game is City’s fourth of eight Champions League league-phase fixtures. They have six points after victories over Porto and AEK Athens either side of defeat against Paris Saint-Germain, leaving another win in Germany potentially valuable as the race for a top-eight place begins to take shape.
Maresca and a member of City’s first-team squad are due to face the media on Tuesday evening, when a clearer picture of the travelling squad and his selection options should emerge.
