Yes. The game will be shown live in the UK on TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate, with subscribers also able to watch through HBO Max. Kick-off at Villa Park is at 12.30pm on Saturday.

Man City team news

Haaland is available after being left on the bench for City’s victory over AEK following a recent fitness concern. Maresca confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the striker is “100% available” for the trip to Villa Park. The City boss has also discussed the possibility of playing Haaland alongside Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki.

There is less certainty over Nico O’Reilly, Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes, who all missed the AEK victory. Maresca said the trio would be assessed following Thursday’s training session before a decision is made on their availability. Antoine Semenyo remains sidelined after Maresca confirmed the forward is expected to be out for around eight weeks with a knee injury.

Who is the referee?

Peter Bankes will referee the game, assisted by Gary Beswick and Blake Antrobus. Tom Kirk is the fourth official, while Paul Tierney will be the VAR, assisted by Nick Greenhalgh.

City looking to maintain perfect start

City travel to Villa Park top of the Premier League after winning each of their opening seven matches, scoring 19 goals and conceding seven. Villa provide a significant test, however. Unai Emery’s side are unbeaten in their past seven matches in all competitions.

City will then return to the Etihad Stadium to face Brighton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, October 28, before their European campaign resumes away to RB Leipzig on November 4. City’s full European schedule and latest statistics can be found in our 2026/27 Champions League tracker.
