Latest Man City team news

Maresca has no fresh injury concerns following the defeat by PSG and has a strong squad available for this afternoon’s game. Phil Foden is available again after completing his three-match Premier League suspension. The England international was eligible in Europe and was an unused substitute against PSG, but can now make his domestic return.

Maresca said on Friday that Foden had trained well and backed him to make an impact if selected. Erling Haaland will also be in the squad, although Maresca admitted he is considering when to give the striker a rest during a demanding run of fixtures.

“At some point we probably need to give him rest, some days off,” Maresca said.

The City boss stressed that the issue is not restricted to Haaland, with Elliot Anderson, Enzo Fernandez, Marc Guehi and Ruben Dias among those who have accumulated significant minutes for club and country. Haaland scored twice against PSG on Wednesday, taking his tally to 10 goals in nine appearances this season.

Latest Ipswich team news

Ipswich manager Gary O’Neil also expects to have close to a full squad available at the Etihad. O’Neil said on Friday that one or two players would require late checks after carrying minor problems, but he expects them to be fit.

“A couple of checks still to do but I anticipate everyone will be fine,” he said. “Nothing really happened this week but there’s a couple who have been carrying something for a little while so we’ll see where they are tomorrow morning but I imagine we’ll be full strength.”

Abdul Fatawu is available again after serving a one-match suspension during Ipswich’s 2-1 victory over Fulham. O’Neil has indicated he could make changes against City as Ipswich look for their fourth Premier League victory of the season.

Is Man City v Ipswich on TV in the UK?

Man City v Ipswich will not be shown live on television in the UK. The 3pm BST kick-off falls within the Saturday afternoon broadcast blackout, which prevents the game from being televised live domestically.

City supporters can follow the match through the club’s Matchday Centre, with live text updates and statistics available on the official website and app. Audio commentary will also be available through City’s digital channels.

How to watch Man City v Ipswich in the US

The match will be shown live in the United States on USA Network and Universo. Kick-off is at 10:00 ET and 07:00 PT. Viewers with access to USA Network through an authenticated television or streaming provider can also watch the channel online.

NBC’s Premier League Goal Rush programme will be available on Peacock during the 10:00 ET window, although Man City v Ipswich itself is scheduled for USA Network and Universo.

City looking to respond after PSG defeat

City go into this afternoon’s game after suffering their first defeat under Maresca against PSG on Wednesday. Haaland scored twice in the 4-2 defeat at the Etihad, but three first-half goals left City with too much to do after the interval.

The result ended City’s eight-match winning run in all competitions, although they remain the only Premier League side with a perfect league record this season.

Ipswich have made an encouraging return to the top flight under O’Neil, winning three of their opening six matches. They arrive at the Etihad after coming from behind to beat Fulham 2-1.

When will Man City v Ipswich highlights be available?

Supporters unable to watch the game live will be able to see highlights through City’s digital channels after the final whistle. A two-minute highlights package is scheduled to be available on the club’s website and official app from 19:00 BST.

Extended highlights and a full-match replay will be available to CITY+ subscribers from midnight. City will also provide a match report and post-match reaction through their website and app.
