“We’d Both Choose City” – Paul Scholes drops shocking admission

In a moment of brutal honesty that will have United fans squirming, Class of ’92 legend Paul Scholes has admitted that if he and Nicky Butt were players today, they would turn down Old Trafford to sign for City.

Speaking about the shift in power across the city over the last decade, the former England midfielder conceded that any ambitious player in the modern era would find it impossible to turn down the setup at the Etihad Stadium, regardless of boyhood loyalties.

“If me and Nicky are players now coming from a different club over the last five or 10 years, if Man United or Man City wanted to buy us, regardless if you’re a fan or not, I think we’d both choose Man City,” Scholes revealed.

It was a stunningly candid admission from a man who won 11 Premier League titles under Sir Alex Ferguson.

While United have spent the past decade cycling through managers, identity crises, and boardroom reshuffles, City have established themselves as the dominant force in English and European football.

For City supporters, hearing one of Old Trafford’s icons openly acknowledge that the Etihad is now the premier destination in Manchester will be music to their ears.

It serves as the ultimate testament to the elite infrastructure, consistent silverware, and world-class culture built at the club over the past ten years.

While United supporters might struggle to digest Scholes’ frank assessment, his comments simply reflect what the rest of world football has known for years: Manchester, right now, is comfortably Blue.
