Man City alerted to Eduardo Camavinga opportunity as Real Madrid consider sale

City have reportedly been made aware that Real Madrid would consider offers for Eduardo Camavinga this summer, with reports in Spain claiming José Mourinho is prepared to sanction the midfielder’s departure.

A fee of around €60 million (£52m) has been suggested.

The France international is not actively seeking a move and is understood to favour remaining at the Bernabéu. That means any deal would depend not only on City’s interest, but also on a change in the player’s position.

Even so, the situation is one City will monitor.

Camavinga is 23, can play as a holding midfielder or in a more advanced role and has also filled in at left-back during his time in Madrid. His versatility has made him a regular in one of Europe’s strongest squads despite fierce competition for places.

City have already reshaped parts of their midfield this summer, but recruitment has rarely been based solely on immediate need. The club have consistently moved for players they believe can improve the squad over the longer term, even in positions where competition is already high.

That approach makes Camavinga an obvious player to assess if Real Madrid are genuinely prepared to negotiate.

Whether City choose to act is another matter. The club have other priorities this summer and any significant midfield addition could depend on departures before the transfer window closes.

For now, there is no indication that talks have progressed beyond the early stages. But if Real Madrid are willing to sell one of Europe’s most accomplished young midfielders, Manchester City are unlikely to ignore the opportunity.
