Every Man City player going to the World Cup – who are the club’s 20 international stars?

Share
  • The FIFA World Cup is fast approaching
  • City have more players than any other club
  • Everything you need to know right here

Manchester City are the best represented club at the World Cup, with 20 players travelling to the summer tournament.

Each player will be looking to achieve success with their national team, after an impressive season with the Citizens.

Two trophies were lifted at Wembley Stadium, as Man City defeated Arsenal and Chelsea in the domestic cup finals.

The question is, will one of these City stars also experience the luxury of a World Cup winner’s medal this summer?

For now, that remains to be seen, but here are all the members of the club’s squad making the trip to North America.

Who is most likely to lift the World Cup trophy?

Rodri will be among the favourites to accomplish World Cup glory, with Spain winning the European Championship in 2024.

City’s Portuguese stars will also be eyeing a win, considering they defeated the Spanish national team in last year’s UEFA Nations League final.

Rayan Cherki’s France will also be expected to do well, as they arguably have the best attacking line in the tournament.

Finally, England are always going to be considered as contenders, despite failing to lift silverware since 1966.

The World Cup is starting soon

On Thursday, June 11, the 2026 edition of the World Cup gets underway. However, the first match involving a Man City player takes place on the 14th.

The Netherlands will be taking on Japan, and kick off is at 21:00 BST.
