- Bournemouth vs Man City
- Premier League matchday 37
- 19:30 BST
Manchester City are up against Bournemouth tonight in a match which would appear destined to end in a draw.
Well, at least when considering the recent form of both teams. Their head-to-head history actually reveals something quite different.
Whatever the case, it is a must-win game. Arsenal’s victory over Burnley expanded their lead at the top of the Premier League table to five points, much to Man City’s despair.
However, there is still something for the Sky Blues to hold onto, provided they are able to defeat Bournemouth.
The two teams will face off on Tuesday night, and there is plenty on the line. For City, a win is necessary to stay in the title race, while the Cherries could still land a Champions League spot.

Form guide
Man City have just won their second trophy of the season, and before that they recorded 3-0 wins over Brentford and Crystal Palace respectively.
The Citizens have only failed to record a victory in one of their past 10 matches in all competitions – a 3-3 draw against Everton.
Bournemouth on the other hand have only won four of their 10 most recent fixtures, but they too are undefeated in this time period.

Most recently the Cherries picked up a 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage, in a match which saw both teams lose a player due to ill discipline.
Bournemouth’s most recent Premier League defeat came on January 3 against Arsenal, a team they have since beaten away from home.
City’s was slightly more recent, coming on January 17 against Manchester United. However, losses have been recorded since then in the Champions League.
Bournemouth and Man City’s head-to-head record
Man City defeated Bournemouth earlier this season thanks to an Erling Haaland brace, while Nico O’Reilly wrapped things up with a 60th minute goal.
The Citizens also got the better of their next opponent in May last year, as well as a few months before that in the FA Cup.
Bournemouth won their previous meeting in November 2024, but that is the only victory they have ever recorded against Man City.
The last time the teams drew was in 1999, in a second tier game. But with both sides looking so difficult to beat, perhaps there will be nothing to separate them on Tuesday night.
