Pep Guardiola set to lose two Man City coaches this summer – prompting exit rumours
  • Guardiola linked with Man City exit
  • Contract expires next year
  • Long-term coaches departing

Manchester City will bid farewell to two members of Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff this summer, causing speculation about the manager’s own future.

The priority right now for Pep Guardiola is to focus on winning the FA Cup. After that, keeping the pressure on Arsenal in the Premier League became his main concern.

However, eventually the manager will be required to make a decision on his future. The choice is simple on paper – see out his contract, or leave a year early.

But emotionally, this is a tough choice considering how many memories Guardiola has made since he arrived a decade ago.

Pep Guardiola set to lose two coaches

If Guardiola does decide to remain at City next season, he will have to do some recruiting, as according to The Athletic, two coaches are on their way out.

Fitness coach Lorenzo Buenaventura will end his stay in Manchester, potentially ending a partnership with Guardiola which began in his Barcelona days.

Additionally, Goalkeeper coach Xabi Mancisidor is expected to depart, with his contract expiring this summer. He has been at Man City since before Guardiola’s arrival.

Change is in the air at Man City

The coaching team is not the only department at Man City where a number of switch-ups will be taking place.

It has already been announced that Bernardo Silva and John Stones are leaving Man City, and they might not be the only ones.

Guardiola has hinted that Nathan Ake could depart this summer, while there are a number of fringe players whose futures look uncertain.

Guardiola could follow his long-term assets

It is not long now until Guardiola loses his captain. Silva is a player he absolutely adores, and Stones’ exit will also be emotional.

With two coaches bidding farewell too, Guardiola might decide the timing is right for him to move on from Man City.

The manager has had an excellent run, winning every trophy available to the club. Plus, he could end up racking up two or three pieces of silverware before the campaign ends.

There is still a place at the Sky Blues for Guardiola if he decides to stay for one final season, but the stars appear to be aligning towards an impending exit.
