- John Stones and Bernardo Silva are leaving Man City
- Both will depart at the end of the season
- Fan group 1894 is working on tributes
A Manchester City fan group has been working on special tributes to two players set to leave at the end of the season.
John Stones’ exit was confirmed in recent days, while news of Bernardo Silva’s departure broke last month.
The pair have played almost 750 times for City between them, during the most successful years of the club’s history.
Now, with two of the Etihad Stadium’s favourite sons set to leave, fan group 1894 has been preparing tributes for both players to be shown during the final weeks of the season.
Manchester City fans celebrate Bernardo Silva and John Stones
With the season entering its final weeks, there are just a handful of games left in which fans can say their farewells to departing players.
It’s always an emotional time when much-loved stars leave, but these two City heroes will be remembered especially fondly.

In a post on their X (formerly Twitter) account, 1894 said they were working on tributes for Stones, Silva and Pep Guardiola, along with former City skipper Andy Morrison, who has recently been diagnosed with a neurological condition.
Man City to lose two fantastic servants in Silva and Stones
There are few players in club history to have contributed more to the Sky Blues’ success than Stones and Silva have.
They each have won six Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, the Club World Cup, two FA Cups and five Carabao Cups.
Stones has played 293 times in all competitions, with Silva racking up an incredible 454 appearances in his nine years in Manchester.
Both will be sorely missed, but nothing lasts forever, especially in football. The pair will be hoping to bow out in style, winning a domestic treble.
Cherki and Geuhi are ready-made replacements
Looking to the future, both Stones and Silva already look to have their long-term successors alongside them in the dressing room.
Former Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi has slotted seamlessly into the City back line, while Rayan Cherki has been exquisite since his arrival last summer.
It’s never easy to lose two long-serving club stalwarts, and their presence will be a big loss to the club, but the fact that City have two ready-made replacements already in the squad is a testament to Pep Guardiola’s incredible squad planning.
