Manchester City dominated Arsenal in the second half of the Carabao Cup final and Bernardo Silva has named the four players who made this possible.

What an interesting week Bernardo Silva has had! The Manchester City captain will have been disappointed with himself after being sent off against Real Madrid, but now he is a Carabao Cup winner for a fifth time.

Silva played all 90 minutes of the final at Wembley, which means he has made 42 appearances for his club this season.

However, instead of making the recent success about himself, the midfielder has honoured four of his teammates for their important contributions.

Bernardo Silva reveals what Man City did so well against Arsenal

Pep Guardiola clearly had a well thought-out game plan and Silva has given an overview about how his team successfully carried it out.

According to the Portuguese star, everything came together but each player had their own important role, including four in particular.

“When you feel the momentum, you have to make it as large as possible and really go for them. That’s what we tried to do with Jeremy [Doku] and [Antoine] Semenyo on both wings,” Silva told Sky Sports

We had the firepower to go for them as well, with Nico O’Reilly arriving in the box. [Rayan] Cherki with the magic to find the small spaces. I think we were really good!”

Man City’s Carabao Cup win will mean a lot to Silva

After Man City’s victory, Silva was also asked about what the triumph would mean to the club’s newest players.

Of course, it is quite the experience to lift a trophy at City for the first time, but it is still equally special for Silva. In fact, perhaps even more so.

With the midfielder looking likely to depart the Etihad Stadium this summer, he will be wanting to end his time there by lifting a trophy.

Whether Man City will win the Premier League or FA Cup remains to be seen, but regardless of this, Silva can walk away with his head held high after another major success.
