- Chelsea vs Man City
- 16:30
- Stamford Bridge
Pep Guardiola has confirmed his squad to face Chelsea as Manchester City return to Premier League action after almost a month of no league fixtures.
The Sky Blues return to the Premier League today against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Their last league game against Crystal Palace was postponed due to scheduling issues.
While that fixture is yet to see a date, City are back after two dominating performances against Arsenal and Liverpool.
Pep Guardiola’s men thrashed the Reds 4-0 to book a spot in the FA Cup semi-finals. Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick in the outing and will be a player to watch this evening.
It is an important fixture as both sides seek differing goals. A win for City means a chance at the title, while the opposite will help the Blues book a place in the Champions League for the upcoming season.
With this objective in mind, the Catalan manager has named his squad, whom he expects to register a win today.
Only one change for Manchester City
The starting line-up doesn’t see much change, as only the backline sees a swap in the goalkeeper position.
James Trafford started against Liverpool, but Gianluigi Donnarumma will be the one who’ll guard the goal against Chelsea.
The remaining line-up is a carbon copy of the last one, with Guardiola expecting the front-line to repeat their magic this evening.
