“I’m not going to answer that”: Rodri remains unwilling to discuss Manchester City future

Rodri’s Manchester City future is up in the air and he is no closer to giving away his plans for the future.

Manchester City are likely to see the departure of some players who have been at the club for a number of years, in the not too distant future.

Rodri is one who could be on his way out soon, even though Man City are not interested in selling the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner.

However, it has been reported that Rodri fancies a move to Barcelona and ultimately he will be the one making the decision, as his current contract expires next year.

Rodri has not decided whether or not to leave Man City

There are still a few months to go until the summer transfer window opens and it seems Rodri is biding his time.

The Spaniard is in no hurry to make a decision on his next step, as he wants to see how Man City’s season plays out first.

Rodri told Carrusel (as relayed by Fabrizio Romano): “I’m not going to answer that”.

“It’s a time to think about what we have now, with my team, about my season, which is quite a lot, and then we’ll see.”

Rodri’s answer about his transfer situation is respectable

While not knowing where Rodri’s future lies is frustrating, he is right to remain professional by refusing to speculate.

Seemingly, the 29-year-old is yet to make up his mind on if he will stay at Man City, leave at the end of his contract, or push for a move this summer.

Therefore, the best thing he can do is to focus on playing his best each week on the pitch and then speak when he is ready to reveal more.
