Manchester City monitoring PSG teenager’s situation ahead of potential £60m move

Manchester City are keeping a close eye on a Champions League final goalscorer’s situation as he leans towards a summer exit due to his salary demands.

This summer could see Bernardo Silva leave Manchester City and this has caused the club to search for midfield options in the transfer market.

City have a good squad, but it is arguably weaker than Pep Guardiola’s teams in past seasons and so the club will need to make some new signings.

Right now, Arsenal are still favourites to win the Premier League title and Man City’s hierarchy will be keen to restore a winning culture within their team.

Manchester City are following Senny Mayulu’s situation at PSG

Based on the players Man City have been linked with ahead of the summer, it is clear they are looking to build a team for the future.

Senny Mayulu is certainly one for the long-term and Caught Offside have reported that Man City are closely monitoring his failed contract negotiations at PSG.

The 19-year-old was offered a new deal which would last until 2030, but he rejected it due to his salary demands.

City admire Mayulu’s passing range and football intelligence, but Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be the most likely teams to sign him this summer.

Despite his age, Mayulu has already burst onto the European scene, having scored for PSG against Inter in the Champions League final last season.

Mayulu would not come cheap to Man City

Should Man City attempt to sign the midfielder, they would have to part ways with a transfer fee ranging between £52m and £61m.

Also, a move to the Premier League woud likely see Mayulu’s wages triple, so he is certainly not a cheap investment.

However, the versatile youngster has four goals and five assists this season and he definitely has a lot of potential.
