Antoine Semenyo makes claim about Manchester City’s Premier League title winning mentality

Manchester City are aiming to reclaim the Premier League title this season and Antoine Semenyo has been impressed by the mindset of his teammates since he joined the club.

It is impossible to talk about Manchester City without dwelling on the Premier League title race between themselves and Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola’s team have continued winning, but then the league leaders respond with a victory to keep the clubs separated by five points.

Man City of course have a game in hand, but it is still the Gunners who are currently best placed to win the league title.

However, this has only encouraged the Citizens to keep working harder in every area with the hope of leapfrogging Mikel Arteta’s side.

Antoine Semenyo claims Manchester City have a winning mentality

Putting in strong performances is all well and good, but a team has to have the right mentality in order to win the Premier League title.

According to Antoine Semenyo, this is something Man City possess and it can be seen in everything they do, from the training ground to competitive match action.

He said: “Yeah, I’ve definitely seen it! It starts in training every day. Just the little habits, passing, drills, possession; it’s just making sure of that attention to detail, that everyone is focused, and not lacking.

“When you do that in training, it follows into games, and everyone just wants to win. Everyone’s just major focused. That shift in mentality is so crazy.”

Semenyo is helping Man City remain in the title race

Man City only recently recruited Semenyo and he is already proving to be a very important player, especially after his winning goal against Leeds United.

The winger might have arrived from a club who are not used to competing for trophies, but he has the makings of a champion.

With Semenyo in form, there is every reason to believe City will keep on winning, which will be crucial if Arsenal do slip up.
