The Opta Supercomputer has delivered its verdict on Manchester City’s Elland Road trip – but which team does it believe has the greater chance of a victory?

Manchester City are looking to win a sixth successive match in all competitions and they will fancy their chances against 15th place Leeds.

The Yorkshire outfit are on a four-match unbeaten run, but they have only actually won of their five most recent fixtures.

However, the hosts might fancy their chances in front of goal as Man City have conceded five goals in their past three Premier League games.

Opta Supercomputer backs Manchester City to defeat Leeds

Last week, the Opta Supercomputer gave Man City a 58 per cent chance of beating Newcastle and not much has changed with its latest verdict other than the opponent.

According to the Opta Supercomputer, Pep Guardiola and his team are 56 per cent likely to get the better of Leeds, which is still quite promising.

The hosts on the other hand have a 21 per cent chance of success, while the same figure has been provided for a potential draw.

Man City could have to fight until the very end against Leeds

When Man City took on Leeds earlier this season, a stoppage time goal was required in order to seal the victory.

Then in City’s most recent game, they failed to increase their one-goal advantage and allowed Newcastle a chance to push for a point.

It would be ideal for Guardiola if his team can get the job done in the first half against Leeds, but this seems more like a fantasy than a reality based on the facts.
