Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has been ruled out for four to six weeks witha knee injury, Pep Guardiola confirmed in his pre-match conference ahead City’s game against Burnley on the weekend.
Vincent Kompany, who has been riddled with injury for the last year, will not play again until Manchester City’s trip to Hull on boxing day.
The 27-year-old picked up the knee injury in Manchester City’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last-week.

Manager Pep Guardiola has already suggested that he will replace Kompany with right-back Barcary Sagna or he will drop Fernadihno in centre-back.
However, Kompany visited a specialist in Spain this week, Guardiola said in his weekly press-conferenece ahead of the City’s visit to Turf Moor: “They confirmed what our doctor said. It’s a knee ligament. He will be out for four to six weeks.”
This injury could cause Guardiola to go in the January transfer window for another centre-half if Kompany was to get injured again.
