The 22-year-old has been a target for City since Pep Guardiola’s arrival and the Sky Blues have been quoted £50m for one of England’s finest talents.

With Guardiola reluctant to pay such a large sum, Stones has asked to leave the club, stating that he wants to begin pre-season at Etihad.
City face the likes of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Manchester United in their tough preparations for the 2016/17 season.

Stones was subject of three bids from Premier League rivals Chelsea last summer, all of which were rejected. The biggest of the three was in the region of £38m.
The Englishman endured a tough term and was dropped from the starting line-up at the Goodison Park midway through the season.
