Manchester City duo Joe Hart and Raheem Sterling both started in England’s Euro 2016 opening game draw with Russia.
The Three Lions were held to a 1-1 draw after Eric Dier’s free-kick opener was cancelled out by a stoppage time header from Vasili Berezutski.
Hart had little to do during the game, bar preventing goalscorer Dier from heading into his own net.

The 29-year-old could do nothing about the looping header that pulled Russia level and showed his capability to organise the defence, who are known to be vulnerable from set-pieces.
Sterling, meanwhile, added directness and speed to the England line-up but lacked quality in his final ball at times and was replaced by James Milner for the final five minutes.

Playing as a wide midfielder, Sterling led a number of breaks in the second half and had a goal correctly disallowed for offside.
England are now second in the group with one point, two points behind leaders Wales – who beat Slovakia 2-1 earlier on Saturday.

Roy Hodgson’s side will now face Wales on Thursday as they look to take control of the group.
